Qalandia Checkpoint
The Qalandia checkpoint, located between Ramallah and Jerusalem, is only one of many gates that people who live in the West Bank are forced to go through to cross the wall built by Israel. Among tunnels of bars, metal detectors, revolving doors and long queues, you have the impression to be at a gate of an airport (a military one) … or in a prison. There are many people who have to cross the checkpoint every day to go to work and, with quiet resignation, they have to comply and bear Israeli soldier, hoping that everything is in order to pass through.
